PCV Members Lunar New Year Banquet Luncheon, celebrating the Year of the Horse
We'll be at Sichuan Jin River restaurant in Rockville, as we've been in prior years, with a 10-course banquet luncheon.
Cost is $30 per person, for the same menu and at the same price as last year, including tax and tip.

This is a members-only event, with limited space. In previous years, our capacity was filled!
Please try to wear red, traditional symbol of the lunar new year season.
This year, 2026, is the year of the horse, which comes in a 12-year cycle. Thus, 2014 is also a year of the horse, as is 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942 and 1930, and so on. If you were born during one of those years, then wearing red during new year festivities make things particularly lucky for you.
A note about parking: Parking is free, but we are told to not park where there are four digits on the ground in a parking space. Additional parking is available in the first level parking under the office building.
Our menu will include traditional for the New Year steamed fish fillet with ginger and scallions and crispy rice cakes with seafood and vegetables, along with other dishes featuring chicken, lamb, beef, tofu and vegetables. We'll also learn about some traditions of the New Year Celebration and the symbolism of some of the foods we eat.
